Green Country Paint Horse Club wants to thank you for your interest in the Green Country Stallion Auction and we invite you to participate in breeding and showing fine Paint Horses. The stallion auction/futurity is designed first and foremost to promote the Paint show horse and to be usable and sustainable to both the small and large breeder. The following are some examples of what it contains: · There are no early entry payments. · There are no mare nominations. · The weanling futurities are a true stallion auction futurity and are limited to one foal for the stallion owner and one foal for the mare owner out of each eligible stallion. They will show for the pot that they built and waited for. Products of the stallion auction and get of eligible stallions show together as yearlings and two year olds. · Solid Paint Bred are eligible for all futurity classes through the two year old year. · Free slots are good for three years and can be transferred to the new owner if the foal sells. · Yearlings may show halter and longe line. · Two year olds may show halter and snaffle bit western pleasure. · Rules, payouts and pay scales will be posted on the website before the futurity shows. · In the interest of rewarding continuing and all around greatness, a work saddle will be awarded to the horse that shows all three years and earns the most points.
Due to the late start, in the 2014-2015 futurity, these date and rule changes are necessary: · The first sealed bid by a mare owner before August 15, 2015 will be accepted as the winner. · Stallions may be donated until August 15, 2015 and that will also be the stallion owner guarantee date For the 2015-2016 futurity, these date and rule changes are necessary: · Stallions may be donated until Dec. 31, 2015 and the stallion owner guarantee date of Dec. 31, 2015 remains unchanged. · Sealed bids must be postmarked by Jan 20 and will be opened on Jan. 30. A stallion auction will follow.
Futurity Payback
65% to weanlings for Halter 25% to yearlings for Halter and Longe Line 10% to two year olds for halter and snaffle bit English/Western Pleasure

Prize money will be paid to the horse’s registered owner or lessee filed with APHA. GCPHC must be provided with a SS# or FEIN before winnings can be paid. In case of a tie the money will be divided equally between the two or more horses that tied. The annual income and amount earmarked for each age group will be posted on the website at the conclusion of each SA. In the interest of rewarding all-around greatness, a work saddle will be awarded to the two year old that competes all three years and accumulates the most points for all three years.
Mare Owner Information

All mares must
be registered with APHA, AQHA or JC and must be in compliance with
all rules and regulations of said associations. One parent must be
registered APHA for the foal to be eligible to show in the GCSA
futurity.

Mare owners must
purchase breedings before August 15th. Stallion owners may end their
season earlier as specified in their contract.

If a purchased
stallion dies or becomes unable to breed before the mare is sent to
be bred the mare owner may transfer their fee to an unsold GCSA
stallion of equal monetary consideration or make up the difference.

If a purchased
stallion is sold before the winning bidder’s mare is settled, GCPHC
will ask the new owner to honor the GCSA service. If the new owner
refuses the mare owner may transfer their fee to an unsold GCSA
stallion of equal monetary consideration or make up the difference.
·
Winning bidders
will receive one free futurity slot that can be used in the
weanling, yearling or two year old year. If the free slot is not
used in the weanling year, a $25 maintenance fee is required by
December 31st of each unused year to keep the slot. · A free slot may transfer to a new owner but the seller must notify GCPHC in writing within 10 days of the sale date on registration papers.
Show Rules
·
All entries must be registered with APHA and show original papers
and a Coggins test result at the futurity show.
·
The weanling
futurities will be split into at least two divisions,
Stallions/Geldings and Fillies. They are by free slot only, with
additional fees required for APHA class and office fees.
Stallion Owner Information
· All stallions must be registered APHA, AQHA or JC and be in compliance with all rules and regulations of said associations. One parent must be registered APHA for the foal to be eligible to show in the GCSA futurity. · Stallions must be donated by December 31st of the year preceding the eligible breeding season. · Breeding seasons end August 15th or earlier at the discretion of the stallion owner, as specified in their contract. · All contractual agreements, guarantees and expenses are wholly between the bidding mare owner and the stallion owner. GCPHC will never be held responsible for liabilities or debts incurred by mare or stallion owners. · The minimum bid for the GCSA is $350. A stallion owner may require a higher minimum bid at his/her discretion but that will also be the amount of the stallion owner’s guarantee. · When a stallion service sells, the stallion owner will receive one free futurity slot for one eligible offspring of his/her choice born in the eligible year. · When stallion owners buy their own stallion service, whether by sealed bid, live auction or guarantee, they will receive two free futurity slots for two eligible offspring of his/her choice born in the eligible year. · If the free slot is held and not used in the weanling year, a $25 maintenance fee is required by December 31st of each unused year to keep the free slot. · A free slot may transfer to a new owner but the seller must notify GCPHC in writing within ten days of sale date on registration papers.
