GREEN COUNTRY PAINT HORSE CLUB
Happy New Year everyone. 2010 was a great year in Green Country even with the recession, and 2011 looks like it is going to be even better. The year end banquet is coming up February 5, 2011, at the simulcast meeting room upstairs on the fairgrounds. The festivities start at 6 p.m. and we are going to have heavy hors d ‘Oeuvres and the cost to every member is $ 0.00. That’s right same as last year. Guests are welcome, at a cost of $20.00 per person. Cash bar will be available. We just want everyone to come, enjoy and each others company, give out some great prizes and just relax. Please contact Kevin George at 918-851-1169, or e-mail Cissy Mitchell at cmitchell@just-duke.com, for reservations. Please RSVP by the 29th of January. All we need to know is how many will attend. We will have a great time and hope everyone can attend. We are giving away $1000.00, plus many exciting other prizes in random draws, at the banquet, so you must be present to win.
During the Banquet, we will have elections for new board members. We are always looking for new board members that want to get involved. Please contact one of our existing board members to put your name or the name of someone else that is interested on the ballot.
March Mania is coming up fast, and will be March 3rd-6th in Tulsa. Stall reservations and entries are already coming in and it is shaping up to be the best March Mania ever. For information, go to www.tulsamarchmania.com or contact Karen Kennedy at kpaintacre@aol.com.
We are changing things up this year. Our May show will be at Bridle Creek Arena just outside Tulsa. Our August show will be a 2 judge show again since the Reichert is moving to Fort Worth over Memorial Day. We will keep everyone informed as we get more information.
Next year we will be giving away saddles for year end prizes along with a chance for everyone to win a Golf Cart, or equivalent type vehicle. We are getting bids now and the rules will be posted on the website soon. So as you can see, 2011 is going to be a fun and exciting year at Green Country.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the banquet and at all our shows, in 2010.
Ken Kennedy
President
