The Green Country March Mania Paint Horse Show concluded this past weekend, in Tulsa, OK, with a four judge Paint-O-Rama during the two day event. Judges for the weekend were Trisha Shorten-Armstrong, Tim Finkenbinder, Clint Fullerton, and Andrea Koehn.
Because the March Mania was under new management this year, the format for the show was a little different than in year’s past. However, despite all of the recent changes, Tammie Cramer, President of the Green Country Paint Horse Club, feels the event was a success, drawing many regional participants from states like Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri.
Throughout the course of the horse show, there were several special events that were organized to benefit a few worthy causes. Some of the beneficiaries of the silent auction and charity fundraiser included Blustem Therapeutic Riding Center in Bartlesville, OK, and local equestrian, Jan Glover Hallum, who recently lost her husband Larry.
“The Green Country Paint Horse Club had awarded a Chuckwagon ATV to our Volunteer of the Year at our Awards Banquet,” Cramer says. “The winner, Mimi Glidewell, donated the ATV back to the club to be auctioned off in a silent auction at the Green Country March Mania. This was pretty exciting, and the winning bidder, Ken Kennedy, got his bid in with less than a minute to spare.”
“We gave away tons of awesome prizes and did a charity fundraiser for Bluestem Therapeutic Riding Center, in Bartlesville, OK. We raffled off a beautiful leather and cowhide bag that was won by Ronny Stallings.”

“We also did a silent auction to raise funds for a local woman, Jan Glover Hallum, who is very active in the horse industry and had recently lost her husband Larry. It was great to see everyone having such a great time and also to see everyone participating in the fundraisers!”
Cramer is already planning for the next Green Country March Mania that will take place in 2013.
“I can’t hardly wait for next year,” she says. “We will be having a very special event that I believe everyone will not want to miss. We will be releasing more information on that later in the year, so stay tuned for that information. We plan on having a much bigger show next year that will be more [in step with] what March Mania has been in the past.”
Show management is still finalizing complete results, so stay tuned for those details.
